In this Spirit Tale told by Sephardic Jewish Grandpa, Sereno, the students visit an underground excavation led by the Teacher of Counsel. His counsel is the following: “Know what to break down and what to build up again. Know what to keep and what to leave behind.”
With these words a journey commences that holds a variety of surprises and supernatural encounters.

Other quotes from the book:
“There is still enough water left in you to fill up the well again.” Teacher of Counsel to Hadassah (age 28).

“Revenge doesn’t stop the pain, Levana – it just creates more.” Teacher of Counsel to Levana (age 55).

Shimmel: “NEVER TRUST THE GOYIM. They are just like these other weird dangerous people, Messianic Jews!
How dare Jews become “Christian-like”, Messianic? We should cherem (ban) them from every aspect of Jewish life. And we must strip them of every Jewish privilege!”

Grandpa Sereno: “There is nothing as dangerous as fear, fear of people who are different than you. Fear is the REAL danger and we must start to put all our efforts into fighting THAT instead of each other. Fight fear not people!!!”
“Let there be light!”

In this Spirit Tale, the Sephardic Jewish Grandpa Sereno, starts the series of seven stories by talking about seven special Teachers in service of El Dio (God), the Teachers of the School of Divine Instruction. This is a school where it is not the usual competencies that are evaluated and trained, but rather, the character of each student.
In the School of Divine Instruction students of different ages and walks of life are present. The youngest student is 8 year old and the oldest 55 year old.

The seven Teachers in order of appearance:

  1. The Dean
  2. Teacher of Counsel
  3. Teacher of The Fear of The Lord
  4. Teacher of Knowledge
  5. Teacher of Understanding
  6. Teacher of Wisdom
  7. Teacher of Power

In Spirit Tale Two, grandpa Sereno introduces a being called the ANNOUNCER, to set forth the framework for
“The Seven Teachers” story sequence.

ANNOUNCER:

“JUST BEYOND THE FRINGE OF WHAT YOU CAN SEE AND HEAR, TASTE AND SMELL,
IS THE INVISIBLE DIMENSION YOU MAY NOT KNOW SO WELL.”

“AND IT IS OUR INTENTION TO REVEAL THAT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE.
A PLACE WHERE ALL YOUR SENSES ARE ENHANCED FAR BEYOND ANYTHING YOU HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE!”

“YOU ARE ABOUT TO START THE JOURNEY OF YOUR LIFE.
BUT FOR SOME OF YOU IT WILL BE ONE INVOLVING ELEMENTS OF CONFRONTATION AND STRIFE.”

“DURING YOUR PROCESS IN OUR SCHOOL YOU WILL BE CHALLENGED CONCERNING WHICH OF YOUR INCLINATIONS TO FOLLOW.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SEE THAT YOUR EXPERIENCE IS NOT EMPTY AND HOLLOW.”

“WHEN WE HAVE REACHED OUR DESTINATION AT THE SCHOOL THROUGH OUR PASSAGE ACROSS THE SKY,
YOU WILL FOREVER REMEMBER THERE IS MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE.”

“THE INVISIBLE DIMENSION IS VERY LARGE AND WIDE.
BUT FOR NOW, FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS AND ENJOY THE RIDE.”

Other quotes from the book:
ANNOUNCER: “Waiting for the wind to blow, child. There is no other way for us to travel to meet the Dean.”

Neri (age of 22): “Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Dean and his School and he will teach us.”

The ruach (wind) blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but cannot tell from where it comes or where it goes. Just like the wind blows He is whispering to us, can you hear it?

After a bad day Danit comes home, alone, rejected, abandoned. She reaches out to the only thing that has kept her going. Her family traditions and faith in God.
Suddenly a whirlwind sweeps her away into another realm where she eventually lands on a beach called Crystal Clear. A place where nothing stays hidden, where everything is seen and heard. Guided by an angel from God called Understanding a supernatural sequence of events commences.
During this adventure Danit also meets the One whose voice sounds like thunder and He who whispers like the wind blows in this dimension, this realm in which time doesn’t exist.

Quotes from the book:
“But grandma Sasson, why do you call them Spirit Tales instead of fairy tales?” Sahl (14 years old) inquired.

Angel Understanding: “You are in the rakiah which is the region between earth and heaven, some humans would say the supernatural realm of God.”

Danit: “All these years till now I felt like a nobody, a mistake. Like I didn’t matter, like maybe I shouldn’t be born.”
